Not sure if your project is the right size, or how any of this works?

Here's what most people want to know before they reach out.

one

How does this work?

Every project starts with a conversation. From there, I'll recommend the service that fits what you're trying to solve — whether that's a single focused session or a more developed design package. The process is flexible by design. You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out.

two

How do you charge?

Depending on the service, I work on either a fixed fee or an hourly basis. Design consultations and room-level packages are fixed — you know the cost upfront. Hourly support is billed at $100/hour and invoiced monthly. A full breakdown is on the services page.

What's the difference between a concept and a design?

The concept is where we establish direction — palette, layout, overall aesthetic, and the reasoning behind key choices. The final design documentation translates those decisions into something you can act on: a shopping list, material specifications, and implementation notes that hand off cleanly to you or your contractors.

Not for every project — but professional guidance is useful more often than people expect. If you're stuck on a decision, spending money on things that aren't working, or just not sure where to start, a second set of trained eyes tends to pay for itself. You don't need a full renovation to work with me. Sometimes you just need the right one decision.

Do I really need a designer?

five

I charge for my time and expertise — that's it. I have trade relationships with many major retailers and pass those discounts directly to you at no additional markup. On product-heavy projects, those savings frequently offset the cost of my time, meaning the items themselves can end up costing you less than if you'd sourced them independently.

How do you make money?

What's the difference between your packages?

A Consultation is a focused session to work through a specific challenge. Design Concept gives you a scaled layout and a clear direction to shop from — a starting point, not a finished plan. Design Blueprint takes it all the way: every decision made, every detail documented, ready to implement. Hourly Design Guidance sits alongside any of these for clients who want flexible support as their project evolves.

seven

Yes. That's the point. A la carte support means you're not committing to more than you need. A single consultation, help choosing a paint color, sourcing one piece of furniture — all of it is fair game.

Can I just hire you for one thing?

eight

Yes. Most deliverables translate well to a virtual format, and many clients prefer it. For clients in the South Jersey area, in-person options are available when it makes sense for the project.

Do you work virtually?

nine

The design work itself moves fairly quickly. A consultation happens in a single session. A room-level package typically takes a few weeks from kickoff to final delivery. Hourly engagements move at your pace — there's no fixed timeline. If your project involves contractors or renovation work, that timeline is separate and depends on factors outside the design scope.

What do I need to have ready before we start?

Not much. It helps to have a general sense of what's not working and any inspiration you've been collecting — even a rough Pinterest board. Measurements are useful but we can gather those together if needed. The main thing is showing up ready to talk through the space honestly.
