Thoughtful design for spaces that reflect who you are.

Studied Milieux isn’t just about physical space – it’s about the mood, energy, and rhythm of a home. Our spaces shape how we live, what we value, and how we want to feel each day. They’re where we relax, reflect, and connect – and they should feel intentional and effortless.

I’m Liz Zankowski, founder of Studied Milieux. I work with clients at every stage of a project – whether that’s choosing a rug, developing a whole-house color palette, pulling a room together, or building out a complete design concept from scratch. Some projects are small and focused. Others are more involved. Either way, the goal is the same: clear, confident decisions.

The name comes from how I think about home. Home is an intimate space, so I start by studying the people in it: your lifestyle, your family, how you use each room, and how you want it to feel. The result is a space that reflects who lives there and supports the way you live, whether that’s a hug, a quiet retreat, or something that invigorates.

Many clients reach out when they’re stuck – second-guessing a paint color, unsure how to start, or working through a space that’s never quite come together. They don’t always need a full-scale project. They just need a trusted perspective and a clear path forward.

At Studied Milieux, design starts with intention. Rather than chasing trends, I design for how you live. Thoughtful design isn’t about perfection – it’s about alignment.
