This hall bathroom renovation addressed a severely compromised layout that made everyday use both difficult and unsafe. A previous renovation had introduced a raised platform around the tub, with the vanity placed on top of it – creating a tight, awkward utility zone that made shared use nearly impossible for a growing family.

The redesign focused first on correcting the layout. The platform was removed, the tub was rotated ninety degrees, and the vanity was relocated to the tub’s original wall. These changes immediately opened up the room, improving circulation and allowing multiple users to comfortably share the space when needed.

Finishes were selected to honor the home’s original architecture and time period, including v-groove paneling, mosaic marble flooring, and marble countertops. A white oak vanity with a natural finish keeps the space feeling light and approachable. The result is a timeless, functional bathroom designed to support everyday family life.
